Get More Out of Your Video with LinkedIn
We all know that LinkedIn is the social media of business, which makes it the perfect place for you to share your awesome new video content about your company! Follow the tips below for maximum reach and engagement.
Why Post on Your Personal LinkedIn?
- You have a dope video! Your video is great content that you already have. Don’t just post the video on your company channels, post it on your own channels! Post it everywhere! Video is the most compelling content on the Internet, utilize this!
- You have a whole network on LinkedIn. While you’ve probably shared content from or about your business in the past, there’s likely still a sizable unreached audience right within your network. Plus, a LinkedIn post containing video is 5x more likely to start a conversation among LinkedIn users than text or image-based posts.
- People don’t trust businesses as much as they trust people. We don’t trust doctors, lawyers, marketers, politicians, our government, advertisers, you get the point. But you know who we do trust? Other people. The #1 most influential source of information for B2B audiences is peer recommendations. We trust people within our network.
Tips for Success
1. Post Natively
We always suggest that video is uploaded natively to social media. Instead of posting a link to your video on YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Vidyard, wherever, post the actual MP4 file itself to your LinkedIn page. Native video plays within LinkedIn, that way users don’t have to leave the platform to watch your content.
2. Use Subtitles
The majority of videos on the Internet, especially on social media, are watched without sound. That’s no problem, just upload subtitles with your video to ensure your message gets across. Subtitles for every video we create together will be available in your Google Drive folder. Click here to learn how to upload subtitles to LinkedIn.
3. Include a Call to Action
Include some sort of call to action so that interested parties have an action item. A couple easy ways to do this is tag your company in the post and/or link to a page on your company’s website where people can learn more.
Close more Deals with LinkedIn!
If you’re a sales rep, your bonus is probably tied to the deals you’ve closed. Video production is a superpower that helps you cut through the clutter and close more deals which equals more money! But this isn’t just tied to sales reps, sharing video on your personal LinkedIn helps anyone at a company can establish themselves as an industry thought leader by posting content like your video.
